I'm Francisco Novella, a developer based in Amsterdam, born in Buenos Aires.

At six I was installing games like Monkey Island in DOS. By twelve I knew I wanted to create things for a living, so I chose a technical high school for computer systems. I grew up repairing computers and teaching people how to use them.

I started as a junior developer around 2008, while at university. Since then the work has taken me through banking (JP Morgan, BBVA), music (FUGA), and e-commerce, among other worlds. Today I'm a Web Architect at iBOOD in Amsterdam. I came here for new adventures, and stayed.

I'm optimistic about how AI can enhance us as humans. This site is where I share what it means to be a human operating this new technology, from practical stuff like doing the groceries to trying to understand what consciousness is.

I wanted to create things for a living. I still do.
